Hello everyone, I know I wasn’t active at all in the past five months. Mostly becouse of school and my laziness. (and not knowing what to do with my life)
I’ve had several amazing experiences with RPG maker games tough.
Games like: Yume Nikki, Off (mortis ghost), Mad father, the witch’s house, Ao Oni, Ib, Corpse party and also non rpg maker games like the CAT LADY, Alice Madness returns, Bioshock etc
I’ve come to see that games have changed alot, they teach us they show us many things from the past help us get over many things, help us open our eyes on our current situation and show us how our choices do matter and can lead to a variety of consequenses.
And I kind of had a feeling that has bugged me after playing these games for a while. There are still so many stories that haven’t been told, so many choices that could have been made, so many options that could have made theories complete. And I decided to stat a story in that hype of excitement. I wanted to create wanted to show my toughts on how I view life.
(I know what you think, you are not the only one, and creating a game is not something done in a year or less…) But I want to try it!
This summer I plan to atleast FINISH (wow that’s hard to imagine) the story.
And if I and my partners decide of it as good, then We try to make an RPG maker game of it.
I’ll sometimes upload some sketches and theories about the story and characters if you guys want to see more. If you have any questions feel free to ask or drop a critique in my ask box or in the comments.
About the characters I’ve been thinking about… (the reason why I don’t say pro/anta goinst is becouse it is up to you how you see them) there will be three of them. (with three different stories and views of the whole story)
I’m still not sure about what kind of style I should stuck with… but I think I will soon find out.
To list the main characters from left to right : Apate, Thanatos and Hypnos (on the second picture)
In greek mythology the three mentioned gods have the same parents Nyx (godess of night) and Erebus (god of shadows and darkness)
Apate is well the youngest she is the godess and punisher of liars she is also called deity. She is one of the first entities that came out of pandora’s box.
Thanatos (the reaper) is the oldest, some even say that he was born before his parents at the very beginning of chaos. He is also personificated in one of Freuds phsychologies : „ The distinction between pleasure principle and death drive led Freud to restructure his model of the psyche”
Thanatos is the will to stay alive and therefor to defend yourself against of not existing wich takes sacrifices, Eros is the instinct of preservation of race.
Hypnos is the god and personification of sleep. He controls the dreams of humans but also has power over the gods. Hera asked him several times to put Zeus to sleep for the better and was therefore revarded for his actions.
Hypnos and Thanatos are often shown as young boys and as twin brothers.
Now you might ask why I draw them as girls… one becouse I can, two becouse of reasons.
